Girls football at the Panthers

Footy for every girl.

At Eltham Junior Football Club, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to discover the excitement of football, build confidence, make friendships and be part of a team.

Whether you’re picking up a football for the first time, looking to play alongside friends or wanting to take your game further, there’s a place for you at the Panthers.

We’re committed to creating a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where girls of all abilities can enjoy their football and reach their potential.

Why play girls football at Eltham?

Football is about so much more than what happens on the field.

At EJFC, our girls have the opportunity to develop their skills, challenge themselves, build lasting friendships and experience the enjoyment of being part of a team.

Our coaches and volunteers are committed to creating an environment where every player feels welcomed, supported and valued, regardless of their experience or ability.

New to football? You’re welcome here.

You don’t need to have played before, and you don’t need to know all the rules. We’ll help you find the right starting point.

Proud to be a Women & Girls Chartered Club

Our commitment to a more inclusive future for football.

Eltham Junior Football Club is proud to be recognised as an AFL Women & Girls Chartered Club, demonstrating our commitment to creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive football environment where women and girls have every opportunity to participate, develop and thrive.

AFL Women and Girls Chartered Club 2026

As a signatory to the AFL Women & Girls Community Football Charter, our commitment is guided by four key principles:

AFL Women and Girls Chartered Club 2026
Access – Women and girls have safe and fair access to facilities, programs and opportunities.
Investment – There is a fair and equitable investment in women and girls’ football.
Opportunity – Women and girls can fully participate as players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and leaders.
Visibility – Women and girls are recognised and celebrated as valued leaders and role models.

These principles guide our ongoing efforts to strengthen girls football at EJFC and create an environment where every girl feels she belongs.

Growing girls football at EJFC

Our girls football program is an important and growing part of the Panthers community.

From those taking their first steps into football through Auskick to players developing their skills in junior and youth football, we want girls to have opportunities to participate, enjoy the game and continue their football journey.

Our annual Girls Football Day brings our girls teams together to celebrate their achievements, friendships and shared passion for the game.

We also continue to develop partnerships and programs that provide opportunities for our players to learn, grow and be inspired.

Investing in girls football in 2027

As part of our commitment to the AFL Women & Girls Community Football Charter, EJFC is investing directly in girls football for Season 2027:

  • U9 and U11 Girls play free
  • U13 Girls are half price

It’s a great time to give footy a go! The NFNL levy and PlayHQ transaction fee still apply. See the Registrations page for full 2027 fee details.
